Gladstone Hospital Petition

Representing Flynn in the Federal Parliament

The electorate of Flynn is over 132,000 square kilometres and is almost twice the size of Tasmania.

It stretches from the Central Highlands to the West, Gracemere to the North, Gladstone to the East and Wondai to the South while taking in the towns in between.

I drive over 50,000 kilometres a year staying in touch with our local communities and spend around 20 weeks in Canberra representing you in Parliament.

My electorate offices are open in the following locations to service the large Flynn electorate:

  • 76 Goondoon Street, Gladstone QLD 4680
  • 2/115 Egerton Street, Emerald QLD 4720
  • 39 Capper Street, Gayndah QLD 4625

I’m committed to taking Flynn forward.

Happy National Agriculture Day! 🌾🐄🚜

Today is a timely reminder of the important role the agriculture industry plays, providing fresh food and fibre to Australian households and the world.

The Nationals as part of a future Coalition Government will fix the following anti-farmer policies introduced by Labor:

✅ Create a mix of energy, rather than Labor’s all-renewables approach, which is destroying agricultural land.

✅ Stop Labor’s truckie tax and vehicle efficiency standard.

✅ Reverse Labor’s cuts to regional infrastructure.

✅ Bring back the Agriculture Visa and fix Labor’s PALM scheme mess.

✅ Introduce an import container levy, so our own farmers don’t pay for the biosecurity risk created by international competitors.

✅ Reinstate the live sheep export trade.

✅ Scrap harmful emissions profiles, or Scope 3.

✅ Stop Labor’s proposed taxes on superannuation, which will impact family farms.

✅ Ensure the 88-day backpacker work visa remains in place for the agriculture sector

The installation of Mrs Megan Worthington as the Principal of Redeemer Lutheran College, Biloela was celebrated on Friday 1 Nov. It was a moving service, with messages of support from the 25 other Lutheran Schools in Queensland and their Principals, with several travelling to Biloela to be in attendance for the ceremony. Morning tea was held on the deck with Redeemer's own Daily Grind Cafe serving drinks for the special guests, parents and community members after the Chapel service. ... See MoreSee Less
