Representing Flynn in the Federal Parliament

The electorate of Flynn is over 132,000 square kilometres and is almost twice the size of Tasmania.

It stretches from the Central Highlands to the West, Gracemere to the North, Gladstone to the East and Wondai to the South while taking in the towns in between.

I drive over 50,000 kilometres a year staying in touch with our local communities and spend around 20 weeks in Canberra representing you in Parliament.

My electorate offices are open in the following locations to service the large Flynn electorate:

  • 76 Goondoon Street, Gladstone QLD 4680
  • 2/115 Egerton Street, Emerald QLD 4720
  • 39 Capper Street, Gayndah QLD 4625

I’m committed to taking Flynn forward.

The Biloela Community Arts House took the lead on Saturday for the Biloela 100 events, organising the well-attended Downtown Markets at Melton Park. Many visitors returned to Biloela for the weekend's celebrations, and both tourists and locals enjoyed browsing the 65 vendors. My team was busy running a mobile office throughout the morning, talking all things important in Flynn and Australia in general.

I had the honor of delivering the Biloela100 Commemoration speech before the time capsule was installed by Mayor Nev Ferrier and Bryson Head MP, Member for Callide. The capsule is set to be opened in 2074.

While in Monto earlier this month I had a look at the impressive window and store displays that were in the main street. The old Safari suits in Heilbronns brought back memories, along with the old newspaper reports and memorabilia. The vibrant murals and artwork throughout the area are always a highlight, and I enjoyed chatting with local business owners and residents out doing their shopping. ... See MoreSee Less

Last week in Parliament, pollies from all sides came together to raise awareness for prostate cancer, the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men. With about 17,000 men newly diagnosed each year and 1 in 6 men facing a diagnosis by age 85, it’s crucial that we all take action.

I took the opportunity to get my blood checked, 💉which is a quick and simple test—no excuses! Prostate cancer often shows no symptoms in its early stages, so early detection is key.

Fellas, don’t wait—get checked and take control of your health. 💙

🔵 Get to know the State LNP Candidates - Sean Dillon - LNP for Gregory 🟡

I'm pleased to endorse Sean Dillon as the LNP’s candidate for the state seat of Gregory.

Sean’s family has called Alpha home since 1919 and is proud to be raising his family with his wife of almost 20 years, Sarah.

Sean was elected to Barcaldine Regional Council in 2016 and was Mayor from 2020-2024. Off the back of 12 financial deficits, Sean oversaw three consecutive budget surpluses and an unprecedented capital works program that improved local roads, sewerage and water security.

Congratulations to Gladstone MindCare for being named one of three finalists in the State at the Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards in the small not-for-profit category.

While they didn’t secure the win, this recognition highlights the important work they’re doing to support mental health in our community. It’s great to see their efforts acknowledged on a state level and we are proud to have such a dedicated team here in Gladstone.

Well done to all involved.
